Ten years ago I had some liver toxicity. I had to start some new medications. It was at that point in time that I started to feel progressively more tired and hazy. Up until about two years ago, I used to be able to run five miles a day. I also played volleyball semi-professionally, but all of that had to stop because of my fatigue. I began to feel very angry, depressed, and frustrated with how tired I felt all the time. I became "sick and tired" of being tired. I had a sixty-eight year old friend who had more energy than I had, and who was more vivacious than me. That's what my fatigue was like. |  |
Ariel has a busy schedule. He works a full-time job and goes to school at night, studying towards a nursing degree.

This was my daily routine: I'd wake up, drag myself out of bed, and drag myself to work. I felt lethargic. Then I'd get to work, sit at my desk, and try to be semi-alert. By noon, I would finally have some energy. After work, I'd go to the gym to do some minimal weightlifting. Afterwards, I would get to my classes, go home, try to read a little bit of my textbooks and go to bed. | |
